A Dose of Reality
According to the 2023 Point-In-Time Homeless Count, 4,493 unsheltered people throughout Fresno and Madera counties, with 2,758 — or 61% — identified as being unsheltered. The number of homeless people in Fresno and Madera counties has increased each year since 2015 when the recorded number was 1,722.
Among the homeless population:
• 1,500 persons (33%) were chronically homeless, i.e., had experienced homelessness for one year or longer and had at least one disabling condition
• 389 persons (9%) were under 18
• 278 persons (6%) were 64 or older
Among homeless adults:
• 769 (19%) identified as survivors of domestic violence
• 235 (6%) were U.S. military veterans
• 34 (1%) had an HIV/AIDS-related illness
Vision and Values
Paige's People's vision is to show compassion and care towards the less fortunate within our community. We value treating others with respect and dignity, no matter what their circumstances might be.

Paiges People is a local 501(C)(3) organization, with roots in Clovis, California. Our aims are to help those who are less fortunate.
